Aug. 9th, 2006 07:51 amSo, when I read something I'm really enjoying, I end up reading late into the night. I started reading Vicky's Teachings of Auros at around 3am, unable to sleep, and when that happens, I read to help me out. Big mistake. I couldn't put it down.
Now let me explain a sec. I'm part of this writers group, where people submit work and the rest of us comment on it. I'm a commenter, but I never found time to read the chapters. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the first time I started it, I didn't enjoy the one chapter much, I wasn't pulled in. Now I think I must have skimmed that chapter...but anyways. So B got the chapters printed out for me to read while I was here. So tonight I planned to read 'til I fell asleep, or 'til I reached about where I thought the club had gotten to in it. I finished the book.
Holy crap.
For those of you who are part of the group, or may one day read it, I won't ruin it for you guys. But it's powerful. I was in tears at the end. Maybe that has something to do with it being 7 am, but,anyways....wow. Just wow.
You should all read it when it finally comes out.
